These are my best beauty buys on a budget
Cheap make-up and face/body products need not cost the earth.
Foundation - Leichner camera clear
I think this cost me around £3 & its lasts about 6 months so pretty cost effective. You can get it on-line but I got it at my local market beauty shop. I tested the different colours on my palm and now use "Blend of Almond" some people like to use it with a sponge, it is very dewy and a little goes a long way so use sparingly. It make be a little greasy for some but I love it.
Concealers
I use many different concealers and would probably have been better waiting till I ran out before buying a new one. I currently use Boing by Benefit in no 2 £9 but lasts forever, Erase Paste in number 2 by benefit again £14 but lasts so long & only for mega dark circles or deep blemishes. The cheaper options but still pretty good are Collection 2000 Cover up stick number 2 again (I never use number 1 as I feel it gives you Panda Eyes. Finally not as good as covering up but good for black circle prevention is dermav10 Tinted 2 in 1 roll on from B&M at £1.99. I will add links to all these when I get chance.
MUA - Makeup academy exclusive to Superdrug
When I realised how little money I had to live on but I didn't want to look completely bedragled and also want to try out the new fashions in make-up I discovered MUA. That stands for make-up academy at Superdrug. Everything is about £1 with somthings being a little more (like the primer that I use but is does stop make-up from sliding and eye-shadow from creasing). I use the powder, eyeliner and eyeshadow palette. They did have a special offer on over xmas in which you spent £8 on the range and got pretty big eye-shadow palette for free. I got everything I needed for at least the next 6 months for £8 plus shades of eyeshadow I wouldn't normally use but am trying out as I have them for what I consider free! If you have a Superdrug card you get points and also if you use your card that you registered with Mutual points then even better.
How to afford your beauty buys & not feel guilty!
I do love my make-up and clothes but I do feel terribly guilty about REALLY splashing out so what I do is - for birthdays & Christmas I don't ask for money as I do feel a bit "scroungy" if people give it that's fine. However I do ask for Boots vouchers and the pic on my right was one of my major purchases. It's called "Model-co" brush on lashes & is endorsed by Danni Minogue. It is pretty pricey at £30-£34 & only available from Boots or online. I do love it but would never spend my own money on it. When I get time to do my Youtube videos I will upload a demo there and you can see what the difference is between that & falsies. I also use my Amazon vouchers from my survey sites to "splash out" and buy my regular things.
Hair Products I totally love!
My favourite hair product that is so great for single busy Mum's is Batiste Dry Hair Shampoo. Try washing & drying your every few days with a little one. You can guarantee that you've just put shampoo on and your little one needs you to do something! This keeps you going for days, adds volume, smells great and even helps cover up dry roots. Hairspray added & you can create some amazing hair styles.
