Spending money the "right way"
As a single parent then there is just you faced with all the bills. For example - rent or mortgage, council tax, water, gas, electric, phone, internet, mobile, TV licence, childcare bills, car insurance & tax, petrol or travel costs, home insurance, life insurance, the dentist or presciptions! I have probably missed things off there but heck that is a lot!! For me I don't actually have enough income to cover my outgoings. I spend almost double what I bring home. Quite depressing BUT I have some simple tips to keep costs down and try to keep yourself on an even keel.
Firstly don't be scared and draw up a budget. Here is a link to one on my favourite website Money Saving Expert
Next the link to my second favourite website is below. I had no idea what these "cashback" websites were but to put it in simple terms whenever you purchase anything on the internet from car insurance, breakdown cover, holidays, or even a takeaway if you sign up to Topcashback they will give you a percentage of whatever you spend back.
As an example - I got £110 back on car insurance, my broadband worked out at £40 for the year as I got £70 cashback, my mobile phone ended up earning me £7 as I got such a great cashback & rebate offer. It is worthwhile using this website before buying anything online including all your utilities. There are even free offers like a trial of Lovefilm will net you £15.15 at the moment (March 2012). Costs you nothing as long as you cancel. Check it out and it will all become clear!!
The next thing I would recommend to those of you who have a little bit of spare time are survey sites. Some of them are pretty useless & you will never make a fortune but I use my Amazon vouchers or cash to buy ALL my Christmas presents. Here are my favourites. I will be honest and say that if you join via the link then I will be credited. If you think I am recommending this for the rewards I get then just google valued opinions and sign up that way. The next best website I think is probably Toluna, again link below. You get invited to surveys depending on your profile and can ignore or do them. Up to you but get 70,000 points (3 months perhaps) and that's £15 in Amazon vouchers. http://uk.toluna.com/Register.aspx
My third favourite survey site is Opinionbar. You don't get many invites but the surveys are quite interesting and well rewarded. You can pay out at £10 I think. Not a big earner but good for a little top up.
Next is www.pureprofile.co.uk - you don't always get invites to the surveys but these surveys pay well & in cash. Have to build up to £25 though to pay out.
There are various websites that you can earn cash from visiting websites, clicking through links on e-mails. These earn money very slowly but take no time at all https://www.mutualpoints.com/ - you can also register a debit/credit card and earn points in a few stores like "Superdrug" I would say that this is only worth £30 a year but takes no time at all.
The next similar website is Maximiles http://www.maximiles.co.uk/. This involves surveys, clicking, cashback etc but I don't use it that much.
There are loads of other survey sites out there & I am signed up to most of them but I don't have the time or patience to do them all! You will never make a fortune from it but like I said, the vouchers do add up & pay for Christmas and birthdays.
Finally this is a new website I'm just trying out so try it with me by clicking the link below:

Try the below link too if you have your own website. Get extra traffic to your website.
You could also use this one too for your own website but I will go into that in more detail when I am more of an expert.
